Privilege is something that has often been discussed in recent years but rarely understood. One group of people that is often overlooked but could potentially explain the issue to those who enjoy privilege are people of mixed ethnicity. In this post, I want to shed some light on the issue from my own perspective and experience.
Hair care can be a difficult topic when you’re vegan because a lot of the products out there are not vegan and cruelty-free. Luckily, since I try to live a more minimalist lifestyle I want to keep the number of products I use very low and am not too concerned with owning tons of different, new products.
We just got back from a week-long trip to Hamburg, and since I already mentioned Hamburg's Speicherstadt (literally: "warehouse city") in my top six things to see and do in Hamburg, I would like to go into a little bit more detail. As the Speicherstadt was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site in July 2015 and is certainly one of the most beautiful and impressive sights in Hamburg let me give you an overview of its history and some of the things you can do there.
I have previously written about ethical fashion and the truth about fast fashion and can now happily say that I haven’t purchased anything from a fast fashion brand in over a year. We have to realize that anything that is fast and makes a lot of money is probably problematic with regards to human rights, animal rights, and the environment.
