A few weeks ago TopVintage, the leading European vintage inspired online store, held a giveaway. The prize was a complete summer look, including a dress, a swimsuit, two accessories, and a pair of shoes. Much to my surprise, I was the winner.
Even more surprising was the fact that I was actually going to choose every single item myself. I had expected them to have already chosen the items, so I was infinitely more happy to be able to browse their entire online store to choose exactly what I would like.
It always takes a long time for things from other European countries to get to Greece, so I had to wait almost three weeks for the package to arrive, but there is a word in German for this kind of anticipation - Vorfreude ("pre-joy"). When I opened the package last Friday the items were packaged so beautifully that I didn't want to unpack them at first.
The great thing about TopVintage is that for every item they have a size chart to compare with your own measurements. For me, it can be difficult to find things that have an overall good fit, as I have a small waist compared to my bust and hips, but the items I chose fit really well.
So far I have only worn the dress, which is a dress I had had my eyes on for several months. It's the Izzie Pastry Swing dress by Swedish brand Miss Candyfloss. The brand produces all its clothing in Europe under fair trade conditions, which is very important to me. The material is 100% cotton, which makes it very comfortable to wear. There is another version of this dress with an Eiffel tower print, but the one I have is super cute with its design of macarons, cakes, and cupcakes. It can be worn with a petticoat to make it more special for going out.
Here's a picture of me wearing what just might be my new favorite dress. I will post pictures of the other items I won as soon as I get to wear them.
